Desberia Mutara is a Chartered Certified Accountant, accredited board member (FDIoDZ), and trained business strategist under Sharpe Business Academy. She brings over a decade of experience in financial leadership, governance, public relations, and youth empowerment. Desberia currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in the Steel Industry and holds Public Relations Officer roles with both the Von Rue Foundation and the Joshua Nkomo Scholarship Alumni Association.

She holds an MBA from Midlands State University, is an ACCA member, and is a proud alumna of both the Joshua Nkomo Scholarship and the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI). Her professional background spans manufacturing, logistics, and tax administration, including six years at the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA), where she specialized in tax audits and compliance. Desberia is passionate about using strategic communication and governance frameworks to drive impact, uplift communities, and promote inclusive leadership.

Since 2019, Desberia has served as the Foundation’s Public Relations Officer. She leads external communications, strengthens partner and community engagement, and ensures that the Foundation’s voice reflects its values of transparency, empowerment, and inclusion.
